The Vancouver Summer Program (VSP) is a four-week program offered by various faculties at the University of British Columbia, Canada for international undergraduate students.

ASEAN University Network, Ministry of Gender Equality and Family (MOGEF), and National Council of Youth Organizations in Korea (NCYOK), Republic of Korea, organized an international online activity “ASEAN Youth Summit 2020” between November 25th – 27th, 2020, with 110 participants in total (10 students from Korea, 100 students from 10 countries of ASEAN Community).

A very warm welcome to the first two physicians from Nepal who come to Thailand after the country re-opening to do their studies at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. Dr.Neha Bista will get her training in interventional radiology and Dr.Jenny Mandal will attend a short course training in neurology surgery.

The “NIAD-QE University Quality Assurance Forum 2020” invites experts from overseas to share insights of the principles under the UNESCO’s the Tokyo Convention* and The World Convention** to explore cases and issues in recognition of diversified qualifications in regional and global education systems and deepen our understanding of the future roles of NICs in the world.
In addition, experts in Japan will introduce some of the changes made to higher education regulations in response to the Tokyo Convention, assessment of global human resources in the industry sector, and expectations and challenges in qualifications recognition in higher education. There will also be a discussion on how Japan should respond to the accelerating international development related to qualifications recognition in the post-COVID19 in which the importance of flexibility to adapt Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity of the environment has become more explicit.

On September 11th – 12th, 2020, Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Siriraj’s Administrative Members, attended the 9th ASEAN Medical Deans’ Summit (9th AMDS) hosted by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. This year, the conference was presented in a “ZOOM” online meeting platform and focus on the theme “COVID-19: Challenge and Lesson Learned with a Focus on Education”. The 9th AMDS was presided and welcoming remark by Prof. Dr. dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, the President of ASEAN Medical School Network from the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia. The topics and the presentations in the 9th AMDS will be delivered by renowned professors and speakers from the institute members of the ASEAN Medical School Network, including from Peking University Health Science Center, and Peking Union Medical College, from China.
On this occasion, the ASEAN Medical Dean Summit has appointed Prof. Chong Yap Seng, Dean of Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) to serve as the new President of ASEAN Medical School Network. Prof. Seng stated his intention to establish the global classroom program and multicenter research in the near future.
