On July 27, 2026, Associate Professor Nithiwat Vatanavicharn from the Division of Medical Genetics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a Guest Speaker at the 19^th Asia Pacific Congress of Paediatrics (APCP) in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Assoc. Prof. Vatanavicharn participated in Symposium 8 – Metabolic Diseases, where he presented on “Early Detection and Management of Organic Acidemias: Insights from Thailand” during the 1115-1230 session. His 20-minute presentation showcased Siriraj Hospital’s expertise in pediatric metabolic diseases and medical genetics on the international stage.

The 19^th Asia Pacific Congress of Paediatrics, hosted by the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians (SLCP) at BMICH, Colombo from July 26-29, 2026, was themed “Redefining Paediatric Care: Blending Equity, Excellence and Technology”. This bi-annual congress brings together paediatricians, paediatric subspecialists and trainees from all parts of the world to share cutting-edge research and clinical advances in pediatric care.
