27 September 2024: Prof.Jarupim Soongsawang, Head of Departement,
presented the Excellent Extern Awards to Miss Sasikarn Diewsurin, Miss Thanchanok Kraipitukkul and Mr. Peerawat Theerasetthamrong the externs who had outstanding performance during their practice at Department of Pediatrics from 1 September 2024 – 28 September 2024.
Prof. Oranee Sanmaneechai, M.D., from the Division of Neurology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited to attended the Joint Conference of the “22nd Annual Meeting of Asian and Oceanian Myology Center (AOMC)” and the “10th Annual Meeting of Japan Muscle Society” in Nara, Japan, held between September 12th – 15th, 2024, to deliver a special lecture on the topic “Interconnection between research, clinical trial, and neuromuscular patient registries in Thailand”. Prof. Sanmaneechai’s participation aims to share a model working for policy shaping.
The Joint Conference of the 22nd Annual Meeting of Asian Oceanian Myology Center and the 10th Annual Meeting of Japan Muscle Society (AOMC-JMS 2024) served as a premier platform for knowledge exchange and innovation in neuromuscular science. The event featured keynote lectures, interactive workshops, and engaging discussions that explored the latest advancements in the field.
Welcome, Dr. Vindhu Venugopal, M.D., a 3rd-Year Paediatric Infectious Disease Fellow from the Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, to undertaking an observership training program “4-Month Fellowship Attachment in Pediatrics Infectious Disease” at the Division of Infectious Disease, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University starting from September 2nd – December 27th, 2024, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Wanatpreeya Phongsamart, M.D.

7 June 2024: Assoc. Prof. Anirut Pattaragarn,Vice-Chair of Administration and Quality Development,
presented the Excellent Extern Awards to Miss Ajalaya Ungsamran and Miss Pimploy Ngarmsaard the externs who had outstanding performance during their practice at Department of Pediatrics from 12 May 2024- 8 June 2024.
From May 31st – June 3rd, 2024, Lecturer Kantima Kanchanapoomi, M.D., of the Division of Allergy and Immunology, Department of Pediatric, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and presented a Poster Presentation on the topic “Nasal Dysbiosis in Childhood with Allergic and Nonallergic Rhinitis” at the “European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Annual Meeting 2024” in Valencia, the Kingdom of Spain. Lecturer Kanchanapoomi aimed to update her knowledge about allergies and share her clinical experience with other allergists worldwide.
The EAACI Congress 2024, under the banner of “Revolutionising Patient Care Through the Power of Data Science,” emphasizes the significance of Allergy and Clinical Immunology through Personalized Care, Data Science, and the One Health approach.
From May 31st – June 3rd, 2024, Asst. Prof. Witchaya Srisuwatchari, M.D., of the Division of Allergy and Immunology, Department of Pediatric, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and presented a Flash Talk (Oral) Presentation on the topic, “Utility of epitope-specific IgE, IgG4, and IgG1 antibodies for the diagnosis of wheat allergy” at the “European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) Annual Meeting 2024” in Valencia, Spain.
