On November 28th, 2023, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, led a distinguished delegation during their visit to Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC). Between September 2nd – 3rd, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Preeyacha Pacharn from the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended as an invited speaker to deliver a lecture on the topic “Imaging of Pediatrics Common Abdominal Tumors” at the “21st Annual Scientific Meeting of Asian and Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology (AOSPR 2023)” in Hong Kong, China.
The “AOSPR 2023 Hong Kong” shared an insight into the latest development and cutting-edge technologies in paediatric imaging. This scientific program embraced diverse topics ranging from neuroimaging to musculoskeletal radiology, from interventional radiology to quality and safety. There are four multi-disciplinary sessions on oncological imaging, imaging in renal disease, neuroradiology, and state-of-the-art imaging by invited outstanding speakers worldwide, including proffered papers, hands-on workshops, film quizzes, and awards. This occasion brought together radiologists, radiographers, health care professionals, and researchers to exchange ideas and professional knowledge and showcase research findings in paediatric imaging!
Congratulations to Assistant Professor Rathachai Kaewlai from the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, for his participation in delivering a presentation at the forthcoming 79th Korean Congress of Radiology (KCR 2023) in Seoul, Korea. Assoc. Prof. Tanyaluck Thientunyakit from the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a guest moderator and lecturer at the international conference “Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging 2023 Annual Meeting” in Chicago, Illinois, USA, between June 24th – 27th, 2023. In this meeting, Assoc. Prof. Thientunyakit has delivered a research presentation on the topic “Imaging Investigation of Regional Metabolic Activity, Cerebral Small Vessel Disease, and Amyloid Pathology in Early Alzheimer’s Disease: Synergistic Pathophysiology” (which has been awarded “International Best Abstract Award”); delivered a lecture on the topic “Reading with Experts”; and also moderated on a “Neurosciences Integrated Session: AI/Machine Learning and Quantification”.
The SNMMI 2023 Annual Meeting is recognized as the premier educational, scientific, research, and networking event in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The four-day event, taking place each June, provides physicians, technologists, pharmacists, laboratory professionals, and scientists with an in-depth view of the latest research and development in the field as well as providing insights into practical applications for the clinic.

On May 14th, 2023, the researchers from the Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University: Assoc. Prof. Pittaya Dankulchai, Dr. Wiwatchai Sittiwong, and Dr. Tissana Prasartseree, a 3rd-year resident, took the stage at ESTRO 2023 in Vienna, Austria, showcasing their expertise by captivating the audience on the topic “17:15 HYPOCX-iRex (TCTR20210812003): a Phase II RCT comparing 44Gy/20F versus 45Gy/25F CCRT in Cervical Cancer.”
ESTRO‘s mission is to elevate radiation oncology as a fundamental pillar in multidisciplinary cancer care. This year’s congress theme, “From innovation to action,” focuses on translating and implementing cutting-edge research into practical applications in commitment to advancing the field of radiation oncology and improving patient outcomes.
