Prof. Verhoeven, renowned for his expertise in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, particularly in managing Complex Aortic Diseases, will be serving as a Siriraj Visiting Scholar from March 11th – 15th, 2024. From February 28th – March 1st, Assoc. Prof. Thammawat Parakonthun, M.D., a Lecturer from the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit in the Division of General Surgery at the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered an oral presentation at the 96th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association in Kyoto, Japan. His presentation, titled “Higher Compliance with ERAS Protocol Improves Recovery and Mortality in Esophageal-Gastric Surgery,” highlighted the benefits of adhering to the ERAS protocol in upper gastrointestinal surgery. Assoc. Prof. Parakonthun’s participation underscores Siriraj Hospital’s commitment to enhancing surgical outcomes through advanced protocols and international collaboration.

Prof. David Kipler, Office of International Academic Affairs presided over “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony” between Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University and Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, The University of Tokyo, Japan.
