Call For Application – Siriraj International Fellowship Training in Clinical Pain Management 2025

Siriraj Pain Management Clinical Training Center, Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is pleased to announce the scholarship program “Siriraj International Fellowship Training in Clinical Pain Management (Academic Year 2025)” sponsored by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

“Siriraj International Fellowship Training in Clinical Pain Management” is a hands-on one-year fellowship program available for one outstanding multidisciplinary clinician in pain management, treatments, and assessments for application in low-resource settings. The program will start on August 1st, 2025 – July 31st, 2026, at Siriraj Pain Management Clinical Training Center, Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. The fellowship costs are covered by IASP.

Fellowship Eligibility Guidelines:

– Applicant must be a physician with a specialty that manages patients with chronic pain (e.g., anesthesiology, rehabilitation medicine, psychiatry, neurology, etc.)

– Applicant must have at least 3 years of work experience.

– Applicant must be able to speak and write in English at a clinical level.

– Applicant must be a member of IASP or WFSA or apply for membership if awarded the fellowship.

– Applicant must be working in a Southeast Asian country or other developing countries.

Fellowship Application Guidelines:

Applications must include the following:

– Completed Fellowship Application Form (download the IASP Fellowship Application Form: https://www2.si.mahidol.ac.th/en/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/Application_form_fellowship-in-clinical-pain-management_2020_revised.docx).

– Curriculum Vitae (CV).

– Medical Certificate.

– Board Certification in anesthesiology, rehabilitation medicine, or related specialty.

– Two letters of recommendation. One letter should be from the trainee’s institution stating that he/she has served as their clinical staff and will be potentially supported in their career.

The single successful recipient will receive waived tuition fees, accommodation, round-trip air tickets, and the stipend supported by the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP).

Prospective applicants can submit the application documents to siiro@mahidol.ac.th by Friday, January 31st, 2025 (24:00 GMT+7). We will announce the successful candidate after the Board Committee Meeting around the end of March 2025.
