Mahidol University Visits Beijing’s Premier Institutions for Medical Collaboration
Beijing: November 12th, 2025 – Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, MD, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, together with Prof. Piyamitr Sritara MD, FRCP, FACP, FRCP(T), President of Mahidol University, Clinical Prof. Emeritus Udom Kachintorn, Advisor to Mahidol University, Clinical Prof. Artit Ungkanont, MD, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, and Mahidol University executives, traveled to Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
The delegation visited Peking University Health Science Center (PKUHSC) and Third Hospital of Peking University to discuss collaborative opportunities in student exchange programs, advanced medical technology implementation, and medical research. Prof. Wang Jiadong, Vice President of PKUHSC, and his executive team welcomed the Thai delegation.
The group subsequently visited the China National Bioinformatic Center (CNBC) to explore innovations in Bioinformatics and plan data management development for both the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and Mahidol University. Prof. Yang Yungui, Director of CNBC, and his executive team hosted the visit.
Both parties exchanged knowledge and experiences across various fields and outlined future collaborative initiatives aimed at advancing medical and public health benefits for both countries.
