Siriraj Attend 2026 CAMPUS Asia International Symposium in Beijing
The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, delegations traveled to Beijing, China, to participate in the “2026 CAMPUS Asia International Symposium and Faculty Meeting” held from June 22nd – 24th, 2026, at the Conference Center of the Peking University Health Science Center.
The prominent delegation team representing Siriraj Hospital consisted of key executives, including Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovations; Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Warut Pongsapich, Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Education; and Dr. Piyalit Ittichaiwong.
During the symposium, Siriraj representatives actively engaged with leading Asian medical institutions. Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan delivered the official greeting on behalf of Mahidol University and later served as the Co-chair for the main Research Session. Meanwhile, Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee presented valuable insights during the “International Research Cooperation” session, showcasing the university’s collaborative initiatives. The program also highlighted Mahidol University’s academic excellence through a dedicated research presentation delivered by Dr. Piyalit Ittichaiwong.
Beyond the academic presentations, the prestigious event featured a comprehensive faculty meeting aimed at shaping the future landscape of Asian medical education for 2026 and 2027. The delegations engaged in strategic discussions regarding short-term and long-term student exchange programs, scholarship provisions, the development of double degree programs, and updates on Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) between partner universities.
To further exchange knowledge and best practices, the participants toured key medical and historical facilities, including the Peking University Health Science Center campus, the Medical Museum, and Peking University 3rd Hospital, concluding with a cultural tour of the Summer Palace.
