Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the APAO 2026 Congress 2024 in Hong Kong
Professor Niphon Chirapapaisan, MD, Head of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Division, Department of Ophthalmolgoy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the 41st Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress 2026 held between February 5-8, 2026, in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, People’s Republic of China.
Prof. Chirapapaisan served as an invited guest speaker, delivering a presentation on “Neuro-Ophthalmology in Thailand”. His participation highlighted Thailand’s contributions to the field of ophthalmology on the international stage. 
The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) serves as a supranational organization uniting ophthalmic societies across the Asia-Pacific region. The organization’s mission focuses on advancing the science and art of ophthalmology while working to eliminate preventable blindness through comprehensive education, research, and clinical service initiatives. 

Prof. Chirapapaisan‘s participation enhances Siriraj’s international academic profile while bringing back cutting-edge clinical insights and global networks that will elevate patient care standards and foster future research collaborations. This engagement reinforces the hospital’s position as a leading medical institution in the region.
