Siriraj Faculty Abroad: Research Exchange at Osaka University under the Campus Asia Program
Lecturer Nathachit Limjunyawong, Ph.D., from the Center of Research Excellence in Allergy and Immunology and the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, recently joined the “Osaka University Campus Asia Program” for a three-week research attachment (15–31 October 2025) at the Ishii Laboratory, Department of Immunology & Cell Biology, Graduate School of Medicine and Frontier Bioscience, Osaka University, Japan.
During his visit, Dr. Limjunyawong engaged in hands-on training in intravital bioimaging of multiple organs, observed advanced imaging workflows, and participated in active discussions on experimental design and immunological mechanisms with Professor Masaru Ishii and the lab members. Beyond scientific activities, he also joined the team’s softball tournament, building friendships and fostering cultural exchange through shared experiences.
Reflecting on his visit, Dr. Limjunyawong expressed heartfelt gratitude to Professor Ishii and the entire Ishii Lab for their generosity, guidance, and warm hospitality. He described the laboratory as “the ultimate guru of intravital imaging across all kinds of organs,” and highlighted how the experience not only expanded his technical expertise but also deepened his appreciation for collaboration and Japanese research culture.
This exchange program underscores Siriraj’s commitment to global collaboration and the development of advanced biomedical imaging research, aligning with its mission to drive excellence in science and medicine through international partnerships.
