On December 11^th, 2025, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in collaboration with the Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights Foundation, organized a special academic lecture titled “Abortion and Society: Autonomy Refused – The Ethics and Impact of Conscientious Objection in Reproductive Health Care” at Pisit Tansacha Conference Room, 1^th Floor, Obstetrics Education Building.

The session featured Dr. Christian Fiala, Obstetrician-Gynecologist from Gynmed Clinic, Vienna, and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.

The event provided an in-depth exploration of the ethical dimensions, societal implications, and real-world consequences surrounding conscientious objection in reproductive healthcare, offering participants a critical perspective on autonomy and access within modern medical systems.
