Congratulations to Dr. Thet Naung Soe, and Dr. Aung Ye Kyaw, the Surgeons from Myanmar under the scholarship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand, for their successful completion in “Siriraj International Short Training Program in General Surgery” at Division of General Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital between July 22nd – September 6th, 2019. The two doctors received the certificate of completion from Assoc.Prof. Chanean Ruansetakit, Chairman of Department of Surgery, witnessed by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Chief of Division of General Surgery, and Assoc.Prof. Woramin Riensuwarn from Division of General Surgery.
Congratulations to Dr. Warissara Rongthong, a radiologist from Department of Radiology, who received the scholarship from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital has completed the training in Pediatric Radiation Oncology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, USA.
On September 5th, 2019, Prof.Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital along with Assoc.Prof. Thawornchai Limjindaporn, Deputy Dean of Postgraduate Education, Assoc.Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Assistant Dean for International Relations, and Dr. Bordin Sapsomboon, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education welcomed Mr. LU XIN, President, Mr. XU TIAN KAI, Director of Personnel Division, and delegates from Kunming Medical University Haiyuan College, PRC to discuss on the opportunity for the possibility of exchange program between Kunming and Siriraj.
On September 5th, 2019, the medical students from Department of Radiological Technology, Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Japan, visited the International Center for Medical and Radiological Technology, Golden Jubilee Medical Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. The students gained a rare insightful experience in MRI technique and obtained a deeper appreciation of the clinical radiologist experience.

Dr. Harisd Phannarus from Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital delivered the poster presentation on “Development of a Thai Tool for Assessing Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD-T)” at IPA/SEPG Joint International Congress, Santiago de Compostela, Spain during August 31st – September 3rd, 2019.
Lecturer Dr. Sirirat Rattana-arpa from Department of Anesthesiology completed a research fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesia at Boston Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA, USA.
