Lect. Dr. Naruemit Sayabovorn, a lecturer from the Division of Ambulatory Medicine, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “An Evaluation of Manual Guidebook in The Continuity of Care Clinic: The Opportunity For Coaching The Ambulatory Infectious Diseases Knowledge.” at the 33rd European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID 2023) in Copenhagen, Denmark, between April 15th – 18th, 2023.

ECCMID 2023 is a seamless comprehensive hybrid congress that provides scientific, educational, and networking experiences for both ‘on-site attendees’ such as academic faculties, abstract presenters, and ‘remote attendees’ who cannot travel to fully enjoy the experience at ECCMID 2023!

 

During March 19th – 26th, 2023, Asst. Prof. Onuma Chaiwat, a Vice-Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the annual meeting “42nd Internacional Symposium on Intensive Care& Emergency Medicine” in Brussels, Belgium, to present a poster presentation on the topic “Long-term Outcomes of Delirium in Critically Ill Surgical Patients: A Multicenter Prospective Cohort Study.” This attendance of Asst. Prof. Onuma will implement the prevention protocol to attenuate poor long-term outcomes for Siriraj Hospital!

The International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine is organized in collaboration with the Departments of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine of Erasme University Hospital, Université Libre de Bruxelles, and with the Belgian Society of Intensive Care Medicine (SIZ). The meeting is held every year in March, starting in 1980, to provide participants with up-to-date reviews of the most recent, clinically relevant, developments in research, therapy, and management of the critically ill. The meeting is open to all physicians, nurses, and other health professionals interested in critical care or emergency medicine and attracts more than 6,200 participants from countries worldwide.

During March 20th – 25th, 2023, Lect. Dr. Nuanprae Kitisin of the Department of Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the “42nd International Symposium On Intensive Care & Emergency Medicine (ISICEM)” in Brussels, Belgium, to deliver a poster presentation.

Asst. Prof. Natthida Owattanapanich from the Division of Trauma Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered an E-Poster presentation on the topic “The Potential Benefit If Partial TEBOA in Traumatic Hemorrhagic Shock Patient: a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis” at the “42nd Internacional Symposium on Intensive Care& Emergency Medicine” in Brussels, Belgium, between March 21st – 24th, 2023. The feedback and discussions during the presentation will significantly benefit patient care at the Trauma Surgery Clinic, Siriraj Hospital!

During March 8th – 12th, 2023, Lect. Dr. Dichapong Kanjanawasee of the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the “15th Asia Oceania ORL-HNS Congress 2023 – Reaching Out Maximising Regional Cooperation and Resources to Advance Patient Care” in Brisbane, Australia, to deliver an oral presentation on the topic “Patient Factors Associated with Empty Nose Syndrome Versus Uneventful Outcome Post Turbinate Surgery”.

The Asia Oceania Otorhinolaryngological Head and Neck Surgery Congress (AO ORL HNS) is held every four years within the Asia Oceania Region in conjunction with the Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Annual Scientific meeting. The congress expects to attract 1,200 delegates, predominantly from across the Asia-Oceania region.

During February 23rd – 26th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Nuttawut Rodanant of the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited to attend “The 38th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress (APAO 2023)” in Malaysia to deliver a presentation on the topic “Management of Recurrent Macular Hole”.

The Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress featured the latest discoveries and ideas in 16 ophthalmic subspecialties, including clinical ophthalmology and visual sciences.

During February 23rd – 26th, 2023, Asst. Prof. Pimkwan Jaru-Ampornpan of the Department of Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited to attend  “the 38th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Congress (APAO 2023)” in Malaysia to deliver a presentation about Siriraj Ophthalmology’s new surgical technique, “Options for a One-Stage Large Eyelid Margin Defect Reconstruction” at the APAO2023 congress which featured more than 500 internationally renowned speakers presenting the latest discoveries and ideas in 16 ophthalmic subspecialties, including clinical ophthalmology and visual sciences.

On February 16th, 2023, Siriraj’s administrative members: Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Rattapon Thuangtong, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Woraphong Manuskiatti, Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Education, and Asst. Prof. Monchai Ruangchainikorn, Assistant Dean of Research and Innovation, welcomes the distinguished guests from Yonsei University, Republic of Korea: Prof. Sahng-Wook Park and Ms. Bora Kong, on the discussion about further collaboration in the project, “Collective Action for Mobility of University Students (CAMPUS) in Asia Program for Medical Science and Public Health”. After the discussion, the guests also visit Siriraj’s Her Majesty Cardiac Center and the Department of Medicine Internal Patient Ward.
