On March 11th, 2024,  Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and faculty members including Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School; Prof. Prapat the Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Asst. Prof. Kanokwaroon Wattananirun, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Prof. Chanean Ruansetakit, Chair of the Department of Surgery; Assoc. Prof. Warut Pongsapich, Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Education, and Assoc. Prof. Darin Sakiyalak, Vice-chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, welcomed Kyushu University’s esteemed delegation, led by Prof. Ishibashi Tatsuro and Prof. Akashi Koichi, on a visit and discussion at Siriraj. Subsequently, the delegation immersed themselves in a guided exploration of Siriraj’s Medical Education Technology Center, gaining invaluable insights into educational advancements for medical education.

This visit marks a significant step in strengthening global alliances and advancing medical education and practice.

From February 18th – 21st, 2024, administrative members of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “2023 CAMPUS Asia International Symposium & Faculty Meeting – Advancing Global Medical and Public Health Leadership: Facilitating International Collaboration” hosted by Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Republic of Korea. The representatives of Siriraj in this prestigious gathering were Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation; Prof. Aasis Unnanuntana, Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs; and Asst. Prof. Kanokwaroon Watananirun, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations.

The CAMPUS Asia (Collective Action for Mobility Program of University Students in Asia) is a cross-border student mobility program initiated by the agreement of the Summit Meeting of Korea, Japan, and China in 2010. It aims to strengthen networks among academic institutions of higher education in Asia and promotes student exchanges through joint and double degree programs as well as exchange programs. The consortium universities of CAMPUS Asia include Peking University, Yonsei University, Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

On February 21st, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, the Deputy Dean for Corporate Communications and International Relations along with Siriraj members and Prof. Kaibo Wang, Vice Dean, Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University, China presided over the MOU signing ceremony between the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, and Vanke School of Public Health, Tsinghua University to foster academic and research collaboration.

On February 18th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, the Deputy Dean for Corporate Communications and International Relations, and administrative members from Siriraj on behalf of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University signed MOU with Yonsei University College of Medicine led by Prof. Eun Jig Lee, Dean, Yonsei University College of Medicine, Korea at Yonsei University, Korea to bolster partnership and foster enhanced collaboration between the two esteemed institutions.

Prof. Uraiwan Panich, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacology; Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Asst. Prof. Dr. Somponnat Sampattavanich, Director of SiCORE in Cancer Precision Medicine and Systems Pharmacology (SiCORE-PM&SP); and teams from the Department of Dermatology and Pharmacology extended a warm welcome to Prof. Dr. Srikala Raghavan from ASTAR Skin Research Labs (ASRL) in Singapore to serve as Siriraj Visiting Scholars at Department of Pharmacology from February 5th to February 9th, 2024, provided an excellent opportunity for collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of pharmacology. Prof. Raghavan specializes in epithelial homeostasis and immune regulation at barrier surfaces, bringing valuable expertise to the department.

January 12th, 2024, the committee of Siriraj International Resident & Fellow Exchange Program Scholarship 2024 led by Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, the Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Asst. Prof. Kanokwaroon Watananirun, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Warut Pongsapish, Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Education; Dr.Korakrit Imwattana, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reawika Chaikomin, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, conducted an English interview with the candidates who applied for the scholarship to experience the short course training at medical schools abroad.
