Dr. Rupesh Shingh Basnyat from Dhulikhel Hospital, Nepal, has successfully completed a clinical observership under the Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN and Developing Countries at the Infertility Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University from February 3rd to 28th, 2025.

Dr. Sriwipa Kaewsrinual, a second-year fellow in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is currently participating in the “Observership Program in Fetal Medicine” at the National Center of Child Health and Development (NCCHD) in Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan. This program is scheduled from January 6th – 31st, 2025.

Yerim Song, a 5th-year medical student from Kyungpook National University, Korea, will join the Department of OBGYN from January 6th – January 17th, 2025, and the Department of Surgery from January 20th – January 31st, 2025.
Yoonhyung Choi, a 5th-year medical student from Kyungpook National University, Korea, will join the Department of Surgery from January 6th – January 17th, 2025, and the Department of ENT from January 20th – January 31st, 2025.
Juthamas Kunavongvorakul, a 5th-year medical student from Fudan University, China, will join the Department of Ophthalmology from January 6th – January 17th, 2025.
On December 30th, 2024, Prof. Manee Rattanachaiyanont, Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, along with the faculty members of the Menopause Clinic, presented certificates to Dr. Nguyen Tran Kien of Hanoi Medical University, Vietnam under the Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN and Developing Countries, held from December 2nd – 30th, 2024.
Assoc. Prof. Irene Ruengkhachorn, MD, a lecturer of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, attended the 36th International Papillomavirus Conference & Basic, Clinical and Public Health Scientific Workshops (IPVC 2024) in Edinburgh, UK, from November 12th-15th, 2024. She presented a research poster titled “Significance of Extended High-Risk Human Papillomavirus (HRHPV) Genotyping for Cervical Cancer Screening.”
During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Ruengkhachorn showcased her research findings and their application in patient care, while also initiating a new research project. Her participation fostered valuable discussions among international medical professionals, paving the way for potential future collaborations.
The International Papillomavirus Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to biomedical research on human and animal papillomaviruses and associated diseases, provided a global platform for the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and research materials among basic, clinical, and public health researchers. IPVS aims to advance the understanding and elimination of papillomavirus-related diseases worldwide.

Dr. Nantakorn Pariyavatkul, a second-year fellow in gynecologic oncology from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is currently participating in the “Observership Program in Gynecologic Oncology” at the Gynaecological Cancer Centre of the Royal Hospital for Women (RHW) and the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This program is scheduled from November 1st – 28th, 2024.
