  4. Rehabilitation intervention: Chemoneurolysis, Flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES), Musculoskeletal pain Modalities (High power laser therapy, Shockwave, Transcranial magnetic stimulation), Robotic-assisted therapy, etc

  5. Educational activity: Didactic topic, Prosthetic&Orthotic and Electrodiagnosis conference, Research forum.

The schedules can be tailored and adjusted according to availability and appropriateness
Prospective trainees are required to submit their training proposals to the International Relations Office at least 6 months prior to their intended start date.
Fees may vary based on scheduled lecture and observation hours, comprising a mandatory $200 administrative fee plus an estimated $700 weekly training surcharge.

Prof. Dr. Kamol Udol, Chair of the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine; Prof. Weerasak Muangpaisan from the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Piyapat Dajpratham, Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine; and Assoc. Prof. Pornpan Koomanachai of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, cordially welcomed distinguished guests from the University of Edinburgh, UK. Prof. David Weller, Programme Co-Director (Master of Family Medicine), Co-Head of the Centre for Population Health Sciences, and Audrey Kon, Regional Director, Southeast Asia and Cross-Regional Projects, visited for discussions on our forthcoming academic and research collaborations. Welcome, Mr. Takuma Khara, a medical student from Okayama University College of Medicine, Japan to undertake an elective study at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine from April 9th – May 3rd, 2024.

On February 6th – 9th, 2024, Asst. Prof. Ratcharin Kongkasuwan, M.D., from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The 17th European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders Congress (EAHAD 2024)’ in Frankfurt, Germany, and delivered a research poster presentation on the topic “Abstract Presentation: Validity and reliability of Thai version of the Paediatric Haemophilia Activities List (PedHAL).” Asst. Prof. Kongkasuwan aimed to contribute to the enhancement of hemophilia clinic services and resident education, while also establishing connections for future research endeavors.

The European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) is a multi-disciplinary association of healthcare professionals who provide care for individuals with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Its members include haematologists, internists, pediatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, laboratory scientists and researchers from across Europe. Since its establishment in 2007, EAHAD has worked to improve the situation of people living with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

On September 18th, 2023, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of the “NeuroART (Neuro Robotics & Advanced Rehabilitation Technology) Center” at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Welcome, Dr.Fitri Anestherita (a Physiatrist) and Mr.Harianto Tri Nugroho (a Prosthetist/Orthotist) from Dr.Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Indonesia, to undertake the short training program, the “4-Week Diabetic Foot Care Training Program by Siriraj Interdisciplinary Diabetic Lower Extremity Care Team (SiIDLECT)”, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, from September 4th – 29th, 2023, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Gulapar Srisawasdi, Director of Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO) and Chairwoman of the Subcommittee of Siriraj Interdisciplinary Diabetic Lower Extremity Care Team (SiIDLECT).
