
Welcome, Mr. Takuma Khara, a medical student from Okayama University College of Medicine, Japan to undertake an elective study at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine from April 9th – May 3rd, 2024.
On February 6th – 9th, 2024, Asst. Prof. Ratcharin Kongkasuwan, M.D., from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The 17th European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders Congress (EAHAD 2024)’ in Frankfurt, Germany, and delivered a research poster presentation on the topic “Abstract Presentation: Validity and reliability of Thai version of the Paediatric Haemophilia Activities List (PedHAL).” Asst. Prof. Kongkasuwan aimed to contribute to the enhancement of hemophilia clinic services and resident education, while also establishing connections for future research endeavors.
The European Association for Haemophilia and Allied Disorders (EAHAD) is a multi-disciplinary association of healthcare professionals who provide care for individuals with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Its members include haematologists, internists, pediatricians, nurses, physiotherapists, laboratory scientists and researchers from across Europe. Since its establishment in 2007, EAHAD has worked to improve the situation of people living with haemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

On September 18th, 2023, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the opening ceremony of the “NeuroART (Neuro Robotics & Advanced Rehabilitation Technology) Center” at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.









Welcome, Dr.Fitri Anestherita (a Physiatrist) and Mr.Harianto Tri Nugroho (a Prosthetist/Orthotist) from Dr.Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Indonesia, to undertake the short training program, the “4-Week Diabetic Foot Care Training Program by Siriraj Interdisciplinary Diabetic Lower Extremity Care Team (SiIDLECT)”, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, from September 4th – 29th, 2023, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Gulapar Srisawasdi, Director of Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO) and Chairwoman of the Subcommittee of Siriraj Interdisciplinary Diabetic Lower Extremity Care Team (SiIDLECT).

Dr. Napatpaphan Kanjanapanang from the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, welcomed the distinguished delegates from Kyushu University Hospital, Japan, led by Dr. Tomohiko Moriyama, Dr. Makoto Kubo, Ms. Ayumi Kamamoto, Ms. Yumi Yamagushi, Ms. Yuko Murakami, Ms. Nami Arita, Mr. Takehiro Kiyomatsu, and Ms. Saho Yamauchi, for the site visit at Siriraj Medical Education Technology center, Siriraj Endoscopy Center, Molecular Laboratory, Division of Pharmacy Siriraj Hospital, and Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Welcome, Prof. Klaas Postema, Professor of Rehabilitation, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University Medical Center Groningen, the Netherlands, to serve as the “Siriraj International Visiting Scholar” at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, starting from November 28th – December 9th, 2022. While on his duty at Siriraj, Prof. Postema also donated his book “Pedorthic Footwear – Assessment and Treatment” (to share his knowledge of different aspects concerning pedorthic footwear with all the different professionals that are involved in foot care) to the Siriraj Medical Library.
