Congratulations to Siriraj’s award recipients of “Mahidol University’s Top 1% Researchers 2023!”

The Top 1% Researchers Award at Mahidol University is awarded to faculty members who exhibit moral integrity, knowledge, skill, and diligence in their work, leading to excellent accomplishments in a variety of disciplines of study that are advantageous to the university, society, and the country. The award is based on the criterion of publications in international databases.
The list of awardees is shown as follows:

Ms.Paporn Chokpitiboon, Assistant Lecturer from Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presented a poster on “Development of an Adjustable Simulation Model for Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis Orthosis Training” showcasing her deep knowledge and expertise in the field at ISPO (International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics) 19th world congress in Mexico from April 24th-27th, 2023.

ISPO World Congress is the global platform where the brightest minds in prosthetics, orthotics, mobility, and assistive devices convene to exchange knowledge on the latest scientific and clinical advancements, innovative technologies, materials, and designs in P&O care.

We eagerly anticipate witnessing exceptional accomplishments from this talented researcher in the future.

 

Dr. Kamonlapat Supimon, a researcher from Siriraj Center of Research Excellence for Cancer Immunotherapy (SiCORE-CIT), Research Department, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Fourth-Generation Chimeric Antigen Receptor T Cells Targeting Mucin 1 Against Breast Cancer” at The 144th American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2023 in Orlando, USA, between April 14th – 19th, 2023.

The AACR Annual Meeting is the focal point of the cancer research community, where scientists, clinicians, other healthcare professionals, survivors, patients, and advocates gather to share the latest advances in cancer science and medicine. During December 1st – 2nd, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pongsakorn Tantilipikorn, Director of Siriraj’s Center of Research Excellence in Allergy & Immunology, and Assistant President for Research & Academic Affairs, Mahidol University, attended as an invited speaker on the topic “Diagnostic Accuracy of Component-Resolved Diagnostic for Inhalant Allergy: A System Review and Meta-Analysis” at the “Immunology Molecular Allergology Congress (IMAC)” in Moscow, Russia.

On November 7th, 2022, Prof. Apichat Asavamonkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, together with Assoc. Prof. Winai Ratanasuwan, Director of Siriraj Institute of Clinical Research (SICRES), Prof. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit, former Director of SICRES, Prof. Manop Pithukpakorn, Chief of Siriraj Center of Research Excellence in Precision Medicine (SiCORE-PM), Assoc. Prof. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Chairman of Siriraj Cancer Center, Asst. Prof. Charuwan Akewanlop, Chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology, Assoc. Prof. Pittaya Dankulchai from the Division of Radiation Oncology, Ms. Pornsuda Nipathakosol, Assistant Director of SICRES, greeted and welcomed distinguished guests from the National Cancer Center Hospital (NCCH), Japan, led by Dr. Hitoshi Nakagama, President of NCC, Dr. Kenichi Nakamura, Director of Department of International Clinical Development, Ms. Tomomi Hata, Head of International Trial Management Section, Research Management Division, Dr. Mitsumi Terada, General Manager of Asian Partnerships Office, Ms. Sukanya Jalutangsee and Ms. Patchara Promsurin of Asian Partnerships Office, NCCH, on the site visit at SICRES, SiCORE-PM, Siriraj Cancer Center, and Siriraj’s Division of Radiation Oncology.

On October 26th, 2022, the senior team of the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) and a group of specially selected 15 health/climate journalists from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia visited Siriraj Bimuksthan Museum (to learn a history of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and its relevance to Thailand’s public health,) and Siriraj Center of Research Excellence in Dengue and Emerging Pathogens (to deepen the understanding between scientists and reporters which will help journalists develop potential science angles in their covered stories.)

On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, the former Dean, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, and the Director of Siriraj Institute of Clinical Research (SICRES), Prof. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit, have delivered a special address on the topic “NTD Legacy and Future Innovations” to the guests.
