Congratulations to Doctor Kittipob Kirdpun, MD, a Residency Surgeon from the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, for winning the ‘Young Investigator Award in Oral Presentation’ at the “22nd International Society for Burn Injuries (ISBI) Biennial Congress” in Birmingham, UK, on August 22nd, 2024. His presentation“Association between Length of Stay and Operative Time among Inpatients with Burns in a University Hospital in Thailand garnered recognition for its exceptional contribution to burn injury research.

The International Society for Burn Injuries is partnering with the British Burn Association (BBA) to organize the 22nd Congress of the ISBI and the 55th Annual Meeting of the BBA themed, “Exchanging Knowledge to Improve Burn Care Around the World – Facing the Future”.

On June 27th, 2024, the International Relations Division’s One Stop Service, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, celebrated our vibrant international community with a lively Coffee Party. The event served as a heartwarming opportunity to connect the graduating class of 2023 with incoming members of the class of 2024 while also bidding fond farewells to our graduating seniors, wishing them success in their future endeavors.

From April 18th – 20th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nuttawut Sermsathanasawadi, M.D., Ph.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and presented a research abstract on the topic “Effectiveness of Cyanoacrylate Closure and Compression Compared with Compression Therapy Alone in Healing of Venous Leg Ulcers Caused by Superficial Vein Reflux, a Randomized Controlled Trial” at the “International Vein Congress 2024 (IVC Miami 2024)” in Miami, USA. This congress provided Assoc. Prof. Sermsathanasawadi the opportunity to exchange valuable knowledge with leading international experts in vascular surgery and explore potential collaborations.

In its 22nd year, the IVC continues to be a premier event in the venous field, offering an extraordinary experience for all attendees. The congress features multiple concurrent sessions designed to enhance clinical practice, improve skills, and revolutionize patient care.
