The Division of Rhinology and Allergy, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, in collaboration with the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is organizing a hands-on training workshop “The 27th Siriraj International Rhinology and Allergy Course” from November 18th – 19th, 2024, at the Siriraj Medical Simulation Center (SiTEC), Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. The workshop will feature esteemed international faculty members, including Prof. Alkis Psaltis, Prof. Luo Zhang, and Prof. Chengshuo Wang.

On October 31st, 2024, the Departments of Otorhinolaryngology, Anatomy, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, in partnership with Police General Hospital (PGH), hosted the Transoral Thyroidectomy Workshop. Held at the Thai-German Multidisciplinary Endoscopic Training Center, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, the event brought participants together to explore the latest innovations in transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy via video-assisted techniques (TOETVA). The workshop aimed to equip surgeons with cutting-edge techniques for performing scar-free, minimally invasive thyroid surgery.

Opening remarks were delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Napakorn Sangchay, Chair of the Department of Anatomy; Asst. Prof. Paiboon Sureepong, 1st Deputy Chair of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology; and course director Pol. Maj. Col. Angkoon Anuwong, M.D., setting an inspiring tone for a day of transformative learning.

The program offered a blend of clinical anatomy lectures, hands-on training, and live surgery demonstrations led by renowned experts including Dr. Thanaporn Rungruang (Siriraj Hospital, Thailand), Dr. Angkoon Anuwong (Police General Hospital, Thailand), Dr. Paveena Pithuksurachai (Siriraj Hospital, Thailand), Dr. Prachya Maneeprasopchoke (Siriraj Hospital, Thailand), Dr. Tay Hin Ngan (Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre, Singapore), Dr. Nor Azham Hakim Darail (Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), and Dr. Athiwut Borvornwattanavanich (Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital, Thailand).
