SiCORE-M Annual Retreat 2026: Advancing Research Excellence and Shaping Future Directions
On Saturday, 30 May 2026, the Siriraj Center of Research Excellence Management Unit (SiCORE-M) held its Annual Retreat 2026, bringing together the Faculty’s leadership, strategic advisors, and research management experts to review the progress of the Siriraj Centers of Research Excellence (SiCOREs), discuss management approaches, and identify future directions for research development.
The retreat was honored by the presence of Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, who presided over the meeting and provided valuable guidance on the future development of SiCORE-M. The event was also attended by distinguished advisors and senior executives, including Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, M.D., Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation, together with experts in research strategy, governance, and institutional development, who contributed insightful recommendations and constructive feedback.
Key discussions focused on reviewing SiCORE-M’s operational performance, strengthening management and governance frameworks, and exploring opportunities for future growth. Participants exchanged ideas on enhancing research capacity, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, developing sustainable support mechanisms, and maximizing the impact of research and innovation across the SiCOREs.
The Annual Retreat served as a strategic forum for reflection, dialogue, and future planning, enabling participants to align priorities and identify opportunities to further strengthen research excellence, innovation, and long-term impact across the SiCORE ecosystem. Through collaborative discussions and shared vision, the retreat reaffirmed SiCORE-M’s commitment to advancing world-class research and creating meaningful benefits for healthcare and society.
