4 medical personnel from No.2 Military Hospital (500 Bedded), Yangon, Myanmar: Dr. Kyaw Lin Soe, Mr. Aung Phone Khant – Physicist, Mr. Sit Paing Htet – Radiographer, and Mr. Aung Kyaw Thet – Nurse, attended the short training program called “Course on Image-Guided Adaptive Brachytherapy (IGABT) in Cervical Cancer” at Brachytherapy Section, Division of Radiation Oncology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital between January 21st – 25th, 2019, under the supervision of Siriraj’s faculty staffs.

On January 21st, 2019, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, presided over the 6th International Pain Forum and Cadaveric Workshop held during January 21st – 23rd, 2019 at Siriraj Medical Research Center. The forum was held to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Siriraj Pain Management Clinical Training Center and to provide the platform for exchange, update, and discussion the upcoming issue and controversy in pain management, seasoned by many reputed international speakers from both domestic and international pain arenas.

On 15th January, 2019  Warm welcome from Surgery Department .

Professor Sanjay Krishnaswami, Training Program Director for the Pediatric Surgery Residency and Fellowship Program and Associate Professor James Patrick Dolan from Oregon Health & Science University, United States of America visited the Department of Surgery in order to meet Chairman, Associate Professor Chanean Ruansetakit and team at Aditayadornkitikhun Conference Room, 7th floor, Syamindra building, Siriraj Hospital.

And attend Morbidity and Mortality Conference with special lecture on the topic ” Minimizing Variance in Practice and Bridging the Gap Between Quality and Education ” by Professor Sanjay Krishnaswami and the other topic ” Generic Robotic ” by Associate Professor James Patrick Dolan.

After the conference, had a meeting and discussion on Surgical Residency Program together with the department by Associate Professor Chumpol Wongwanit, Program Director of Postgraduate Unit and Dr. Kusuma Chinaroonchai from Traumatology Division. changing the mind and experience between both institutions and keep in touch for the future.

The following day 16th January, met Assistant Professor Mongkol Laohapansang, Head of Pediatric Surgery and Assistant Professor Monawat Ngerncham for talking about the Pediatric surgery in Thailand and USA at 13th floor, Syamindra Building

Last week, On 9th – 10th January, 2019 has been organized the  E-CPR Symposium & Workshop  Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation for Physicians, Nurses and Perfusionists . The event was made by Cardio thoracic vascular Department of Surgery  Mahidol  University  team  with Queen Mary Hospital team and APELSO simulation team.

This workshop  Invited International speakers from 4 countries and  11 instructors ; Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong . First day (9th ) ,Lecture about patient selection and management,  E-CPR in Emergency room , Cannulation technique and sharing experience of each center at Bua Kittiyakorn Conference Rom,15th floor Her majesty cardiac center Building  and participants, around 60 person, who were interested in the program around the country.

On January 14th, 2019, Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean for International Relations welcomed Prof. Shuji Shimizu, Director of TEMDEC, International Medical Department and delegates from Kyushu University, Japan to attend the tour of medical education technology and human resource management.
On this occasion, Prof. Shimizu also conducted an interview with Siriraj medical students who will undertake Siriraj Medical Student Exchange Program at Kyushu University, Japan in this summer.
