During October 23rd – 26th, 2023, Asst. Prof. Mongkhon Sompornrattanaphan, M.D., from the Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the ‘Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI) International Conference 2023’ in Singapore and presented a poster on the topic “Thaumatin-like Protein (TLP) is a Major Allergen in Banana Allergic Patients from Thailand.”

The APAAACI International Conference 2023 is being hosted by The Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI) and the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society of Singapore (ACIS) in Singapore from October 23rd-26th, 2023. During October 19th – 21st, 2023, Researcher Piriya Luangwattananun, Ph.D., of the Division of Molecular Medicine and Siriraj Center of Research Excellence for Cancer Immunotherapy (SiCORE-CIT), Research Department, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The 8th Congress on Controversies in Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapies (COSTEM 2023)’ in Berlin, Germany, and presented a research poster on the topic “Identification of Human Leukocyte Antigen-A*0201-Restricted Epitopes of the Folate Receptor Alpha Antigen for Activation of Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes”. The participation of Researcher Luangwattananun is poised to contribute significantly to the research development at Siriraj Hospital. Between October 15th – 19th, 2023, Lecturer Tatchaporn Ongphichetmetha, M.D., from the Division of Clinical Epidemiology, Department of Research and Development, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The World Federation of Neurology’s XXVI World Congress of Neurology (WCN 2023)’ in Montreal, Canada, and presented a poster presentation on the topic “The Utility of Neurofilament Light Chain in Etiologic Classification in Altered Mental Status”.

From October 10th – 15th, 2023, Asst. Prof. Walaiporn Wangchinda, M.D., from the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the annual meeting ‘The IDWeek 2023’ in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, to deliver an oral presentation on the topic of “Population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic target attainment analysis of intravenous fosfomycin for the treatment of multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacterial infections.”

During October 11th – 15th, 2023, Lecturer Naruemit Sayabovorn, M.D., from the Division of Ambulatory Medicine, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and presented the abstract at the “IDWeek 2023′ in the USA. The IDWeek 2023 presents cutting-edge science, covers a wide variety of infectious disease topics, and provides a forum for scientific discovery and exchange.

Between October 11th – 13th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Jiraporn Jitprapaikulsan, M.D., from the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended “MSMilan2023 – The 9th Joint Meeting of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS) and the Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ACTRIMS)’ in Milan, Italy, and presented a poster on the topic “Tumefactive demyelinating lesions: A retrospective review cases in Thailand.” Following the conference, Assoc. Prof. Jitprapaikulsan plans to share the latest multiple sclerosis data with students, residents, and fellows at Siriraj.

Doctor Nath Adulkasem, M.D., Ph.D., a clinical teaching assistant from the Division of Pediatric Orthopaedics, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the conference and delivered an oral presentation on the topic ‘Prevalence of Osteoporosis, Sarcopenia, and High Falls Risk in Thai Older Adults: A Nationwide Community-based Survey’ at the ’11th Fragility Fracture Network (FFN) Global Congress 2023′ in Oslo, Norway, between October 3rd – 6th, 2023.
