Dr. Suyanee Thongchot, a researcher from the Department of Research, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended as an invited speaker and delivered an oral presentation on the topic “The Molecular Mechanisms Driving Tumor Budding in Colorectal Cancer Through Autophagy Pathway” at “The 6th Cancer World Congress 2022: Personalized Cancer Diagnosis and Therapy” in Lisbon, Portugal, between September 28th – 30th, 2022. Dr. Suyanee Thongchot aims to share ideas with 130 scientists from 22 counties to develop her new research project, including the multicultural exchange. She brought all the knowledge and experiences from this meeting to develop her teaching at the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

The 6th Cancer World Congress 2022 is a congress that gathers academicians and young inspired scientists from all around the world with the aim of strengthening international cooperation in the fight against Cancer. Another major goal of this Conference is to create an atmosphere of interactions between young and senior scientists to favor novel cooperation that shall bring new and more efficacious strategies to understand and fight Cancer.

During September 20th – 24th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Methee Chayakulkeeree of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the 21st Congress of the International Society for Human and Animal Mycology (ISHAM) as a moderator (2 sessions), a session chair (1 session), and also delivered his poster presentation on a topic “Anti-Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (Anti-GM-CSF) Autoantibodies – The Underrecognized Cause of Cryptococcosis in non-HIV Individuals in Thailand: Case Series from A Single Tertiary Care Hospital”.

On September 22nd, 2022, Asst. Prof. Rathachai Kaewlai of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a special lecture on the topic “Imaging of Bowel and Mesenteric Injuries” at the “20th Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2022)” on the theme “Together! Toward a New Era of Radiology” in Seoul, the Republic of Korea (South Korea).
