On March  21st – 24th, 2024, Clinical Prof. Emeritus Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, M.D., Chairman of Mahidol University Council, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, along with Mahidol Executive Members including  Prof. Suroj Supavekin, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations on behalf of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital visited Dhulikhel Hospital, a university hospital affiliated with Kathmandu University in Nepal. The purpose of the visit was to discuss further collaboration opportunities.

Additionally, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Upendra Yadev, Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal and Minister for Health and Population, and H.E. Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Nepal, to discuss past cooperation and potential future collaborations.

During the visit, Mahidol University celebrated the 15-year partnership with Dhulikhel Hospital. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Ram K.M. Shrestha, Executive Director of Dhulikhel Hospital, and the hospital’s executive team. The delegation had the opportunity to tour various departments and the laboratory, including the Operating Room, Otorhinolaryngology, Nursing and Midwifery, Public Health, Orthopedics, and the Infectious Disease Laboratory. Discussions focused on knowledge exchange and potential collaborations in academics, research, and student exchanges.

Furthermore, the Mahidol University delegation met with Nepalese Mahidol University alumni and representatives from the public sector of Nepal, totaling more than 200 participants.

Prof. Kanyarat Totanarungroj, M.D., of the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “22nd Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” in Taipei, Taiwan, to present an e-poster presentation on the topic “CTR on Lateral Chest Radiograph for Diagnose Left Ventricular Enlargement”.

The “22nd Asia Oceanian Congress of Radiology: The Precision of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” is an annual conference that features recent progress in radiology, such as the application of AI in radiology throughout the entire scientific program. AOCR 2024 aims to facilitate vivid discussions and explore possibilities for advancing practices in the field of Radiology, with an estimated participation of approximately 1,500 attendees who will register and attend the on-site conference.

From March 22nd – 24th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Wanwarang Teerasamit, M.D., of the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “22nd Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” in Taipei, Taiwan, to present a poster presentation on the topic “The frequency of HCCs in LI-RADS category 4 determined by major features comparison to upgraded LI-RADS 4 in gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI of liver, do the ancillary features make it better or worse?” as a demonstration of the advancement in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, one of the premier medical institutions in Thailand!

On March 21st – 24th, 2024, Lecturer Woratee Dacharux, M.D., from the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was honored to be invited as a lecturer at the “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Asian Meeting 2024” held in Okinawa, Japan, to deliver a lecture on the topic “Current Status of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Thailand”.

Lecturer Dacharux aimed to enhance educational programs and services at Siriraj Hospital by utilizing data gathered from his lecture’s survey. Additionally, he explored potential collaborations, fostering partnerships for future advancements in research, education, and clinical practice. Dr. Dacharux’s participation underscores Siriraj Hospital’s commitment to excellence and its active engagement in international academic discourse.

The International Affairs, Tzu Chi University, is very pleased to invite an excellent undergraduate student from Mahidol University (rising sophomore, junior, or senior, who is mature, independent, and keen to learn more about Buddhism, the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, and all its global missions, including Education, to which Tzu Chi University belongs) to participate in the Tzu Chi Experience Summer Program, from July 20th – 28th, 2024. The student should be academically minded and ready to participate in all discussions.

The Summer Camp is English, so the student must be fluent or have a high level of English proficiency. (Please find the images of the Summer Camp Schedule below.)

About Fees:
