Mr. Teera Leepattarakit, an Assistant Instructor from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has attended the training course “FEBS Advanced Lecture Course 2022: Molecular Mechanisms of Host-pathogen Interaction and Virulence in Human Fungal Pathogens” in France between May 14th – 20th, 2022. In this training, Mr. Teera has presented a poster presentation on the topic “Azole Resistance Mechanisms of Candida Tropicalis Blood Isolates in Thailand”.

Assoc. Prof. Janjira Petsuksiri from Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Comorbidity index and LVSI for treatment selection for intermediate risk endometrial cancer patients” at the hybrid international conference “The European SocieTy for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) Congress 2022” during May 6th – 10th, 2022, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dr. Chayakorn Udomchanya, Dr. Sipawath Khamplod, and Dr. Chayapol Limtrakul, the current cardiology fellows of the Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered an abstract presentation at the prestigious event “American College of Cardiology Conference 2022” in Washington DC, USA, between April 2nd – 4th, 2022.

Assoc. Prof. Kasana Raksamani from Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster and oral presentation on the topic “Accuracy of visual estimation of the left ventricular ejection fraction in untrained perioperative echocardiographers” at the “Euroanesthesia 2021″. This congress was held as an online platform between December 17th – 19th, 2021.

Lecturer Dr. Tongporn Wannatoop, a Clinical Instructor of Division of Trauma Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Efficacy of a Perfused Cadaver Model for Simulated Trauma Resuscitation in Advanced Surgical Skills Training” at the 8th International Congress of the World Society of Emergency Surgery (WSES), to demonstrate Siriraj’s potentiality to create the advanced simulation education to the congress. This perfused cadaveric technique is increasing in its innovation and implementation in training for various medical fields. This congress was held as a virtual platform from The John McIntyre Conference Centre, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK, between September 7th – 11th, 2021.

Lecturer Dr. Tongporn Wannatoop, a Clinical Instructor of the Division of Trauma Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, delivered a special lecture on the topic “EVTM Education in Thailand” at the “7th EndoVascular Resuscitation and Trauma Management (EVTM) Symposium” in Örebro, Sweden, between December 3rd – 5th, 2021, to demonstrate how Siriraj can create the integrated program for surgical training with advance technology.

Assistant Instructor Dr. Korakrit Imwattana of Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has completed his Doctoral Progam (Ph.D.) in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Western Australia (started from February 12th, 2018 to October 19th, 2021). After his graduation, Assistant Instructor Dr. Korakrit will continue his position at the Department of Microbiology to pass on his insightful knowledge in Microbiology and Immunology to the next generations of Siriraj’s medical students.

Assoc. Prof. Tuangsit Wataganara from the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a research presentation on the topic “Longitudinal study of uterine artery Doppler indices throughout gestation in women with and without previous Caesarean delivery” at the “International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG)’s 31st Virtual World Congress on Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology 2021″. This congress was held as an online platform between October 15th-17th, 2021.

Lecturer Dr. Maynart Sukharomana of the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Outcomes of intraarticular triamcinolone acetonide injection in children with nonsystemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis” at the 27th European Pediatric Rheumatology e-Congress 2021 and Young Investigators Meeting. This congress was held as an online platform from The Swiss Confederation between September 18th – 21st, 2021.
