Ms. Kornrat Pimeaim, Pharm.D, a senior professional pharmacist from the Out-patient Pharmaceutical Care Unit, Out-patient Pharmacy Division, Pharmacy Department Siriraj Hospital, attended “The 9th Asia Pacific Region Conference of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease” in Taipei, Taiwan, from April 26th – 30th, 2024, and presented a poster presentation on the topic “Outcomes of telepharmacy focus on drug-related problems and medication errors in multidrug-resistant tuberculosis patients at the tertiary-care hospital, Thailand”. Pharmacist Pimeaim sought to elevate Siriraj Hospital’s profile within the healthcare community by demonstrating the critical role of pharmacists in interdisciplinary patient care, ultimately contributing to enhanced patient care efficiency.

The 9th Asia Pacific Region Conference of the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease aims to share cutting-edge knowledge, promote higher-quality prevention and care, and ultimately eliminate the suffering caused by lung diseases. Held every 2-3 years, the conference brings together eminent, world-class speakers, fosters relationships among Asian countries and beyond, and strengthens international academic cooperation. Moreover, APRC2024 will elevate the global stature of tuberculosis physicians and pulmonologists while providing concrete guidance to shape the future of the pulmonology field. Over 1,500 scholars and experts from around the world were presented with new methods, technologies, and treatments at the conference.

(a wholly owned subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, N.J., USA (NYSE: MRK), and the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, announced the signing of an agreement for the establishment of the Clinical Site Partnership Project in Thailand. The partnership aims to enhance cooperation in the research and development (R&D) of innovative medicine and vaccines and improve clinical research standards to drive innovation around disease prevention and treatment in line with emerging diseases.

On April 29th, 2024, Welcome, Dr. Haiyuan Shi, a consultant interventional radiologist and Minghui Low, a radiographer from Changi General Hospital, Singapore to attend “Short 1-week Clinical Observership at Radiology Department” at the Center of Interventional Radiology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, between April 29th – May 3rd, 2024.

On April 26th, 2024 the “Siriraj International Residency & Fellow Exchange Program Committee” led by Assoc. On April 25th, 2024, the International Relations Division, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University hosted a transformative masterclass, “Singing Mastery Workshop” for the winners and contestants of the esteemed “Siriraj Singing Learning Contest 2023”.

Led by Lecturer Rawissada Sukkittiworakul from Mahidol University’s College of Music, this workshop provided invaluable insights and techniques for vocalists, including vocal preparations, breath control, pitch modulation, and stage presence. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants were inspired to elevate their skills in a conducive learning environment, eagerly absorbing advice to take their abilities to the next level!
