Assoc.Prof. Pornjira Pariwatcharakul and Asst.Prof. Woraphat Ratta-apha from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, joined the psychiatrists from 15 countries in Asia to attend a research conference on the topic “Research on Psychotropic Prescription Pattern (REAP)” at Fukuoka International Congress Center in Fukuoka, Japan, between October 11th – 13th, 2019.
Assoc.Prof. Pornjira Pariwatcharakul from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, conducted a research poster presentation and won the Excellent Research Presentation Award on the topic “Holy Water Bathing Versus Antipsychotics in the Treatment of Schizophrenia: a Scenario-based Survey on Clinical Decision-making Among Thai Medical Students” at the 6th Congress of the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP) 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan, between October 11th – 13th, 2019.
Asst.Prof. Woraphat Ratta-apha from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, conducted a research poster presentation and won the Travel Award on the topic “Methamphetamine Use among Pregnant Women” on the Symposium about Clinical Research in Progress on Addiction Medicine at the 6th Congress of the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP) 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan, on October 12th, 2019.

On May 3rd, 2019, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine along with Prof. Dr. Prasert Auewarakul, Deputy Dean of Research, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Assistant Dean for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Sunanta Chantakarn, Chairwoman of Department of Psychiatry and Siriraj administrative members welcomed Dr. Ian Stephen, Program Director Psychology, Macquarie University, Australia to explore the possibility in elaborating academic collaboration in the field of Psychology, Cognitive Sciences, Cognition Disorder, and other relevant specialties between Siriraj and Macquarie.
Associate Professor Pornjira Pariwatcharakul from Department of Psychiatry participated in the 26th European Congress of Psychiatry (EPA 2018), Nice, France to deliver the oral communication on the research “Coping style among doctors and its correlation with depression and subsequent burnout and perceived stress during the residency training” on March 5, 2018.
On March 14, 2018, Professor Suwannee Suraseranivongse, Deputy Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School along with Associate Professor Siriporn Pitimana-aree, Chairwoman of Department of Anesthesiology, Professor Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Associate Professor Prapat Wanitpongpan, Assistant Dean for International Relations, Assistant Professor Nantthasorn Zinboonyahgoon, Chief of Division of Pain Medicine, Dr. Pramote Eausobhon, Director of International Fellowship Program, and Associate Professor Pradit Prateepavanich welcomed Professor Andrew Rice, Professor of Pain Research and Dr. Mary Cardosa, Consultant Anesthesiologist and Pain Specialist, International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), USA to visit Siriraj Pain Management Training Center, Department of Anesthesiology.
In the evening, the complimentary dinner hosted by Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital for Professor Andrew Rice and Dr. Mary Cardosa from IASP at Savoey Restaurant Tha Maharaj on their contributions to Siriraj Pain Management Training Center.
