Assoc. Prof. Chantacha Sitticharoon, M.D., Ph.D., the Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education and Vice-Chair of the Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The American Physiology Summit (#APS2024)’ in Long Beach California, USA, held between April 4th – 7th, 2024, and presented the poster presentation & oral presentation. Assoc. Prof. Sitticharoon has been awarded the “Abstract of Distinction Award” in Endocrinology & Metabolism section 2024 on two topics, “EGCG’s Effects on Mean Arterial Pressure and Heart Rate Variability and Their Correlations with Metabolic and Hormonal Profiles in Obese Subjects” & “Interplays Between Key Metabolic Hormones, Metabolic Factors, Kidney function profiles, and Heart Rate Variability”.

From March 22nd – 24th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Kanyarat Totanarungroj, M.D., of the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “22nd Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” in Taipei, Taiwan, to present an e-poster presentation on the topic “CTR on Lateral Chest Radiograph for Diagnose Left Ventricular Enlargement”.

The “22nd Asia Oceanian Congress of Radiology: The Precision of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” is an annual conference that features recent progress in radiology, such as the application of AI in radiology throughout the entire scientific program. AOCR 2024 aims to facilitate vivid discussions and explore possibilities for advancing practices in the field of Radiology, with an estimated participation of approximately 1,500 attendees who will register and attend the on-site conference.

From March 22nd – 24th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Wanwarang Teerasamit, M.D., of the Division of Diagnostic Radiology, Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “22nd Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2024)” in Taipei, Taiwan, to present a poster presentation on the topic “The frequency of HCCs in LI-RADS category 4 determined by major features comparison to upgraded LI-RADS 4 in gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI of liver, do the ancillary features make it better or worse?” as a demonstration of the advancement in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnosis by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, one of the premier medical institutions in Thailand!

The 22nd Asia Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR 2024) with the theme “The precision of Radiology”, featured recent progress such as application of AI in radiology throughout the entire scientific program. AOCR 2024 aims to facilitate vivid discussions and explore possibilities for advancing practices in the field of Radiology, with an estimated participation of approximately 1500 attendees who will register and attend the on-site conference.

On March 21st – 24th, 2024, Lecturer Woratee Dacharux, M.D., from the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was honored to be invited as a lecturer at the “Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Asian Meeting 2024” held in Okinawa, Japan, to deliver a lecture on the topic “Current Status of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound in Thailand”.

Lecturer Dacharux aimed to enhance educational programs and services at Siriraj Hospital by utilizing data gathered from his lecture’s survey. Additionally, he explored potential collaborations, fostering partnerships for future advancements in research, education, and clinical practice. Dr. Dacharux’s participation underscores Siriraj Hospital’s commitment to excellence and its active engagement in international academic discourse.

On March 13th—15th, 2024, Asst. Prof. Jantima Tanboon, M.D., from the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was honored to participate as an invited speaker at the “5th Global Conference on Myositis (GCOM)” in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She delivered a special lecture on “Pathological Classification of Idiopathic Inflammatory Myopathy (IIM)”.

Asst. Prof. Tanbooni’s presence at the conference was instrumental in staying abreast of advancements in myositis diagnosis and management, with a particular emphasis on advancing investigation and research for Thai patients.

From March 3rd – 7th, 2024, Asst. Prof. Nophanan Chaikittisilpa, M.D., from the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “18th World Congress of Anesthesiologists (WCA2024)” in Singapore and presented a research poster on the topic: “Delayed Enteral Feeding in Critically Ill Patients After Cardiac Surgery: A Retrospective Study. This engagement allowed Asst. Prof. Chaikittisilpa to foster networking opportunities and potential collaborations within the field.

From March 3rd – 7th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Kasana Raksamani, M.D., from the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated in the “18th World Congress of Anesthesiologists (WCA2024)” in Singapore. During the congress, Assoc. Prof. Raksamani delivered presentations on two crucial topics: “Anesthesia Crisis in Resource-Limited Settings” and “Toxic Communication in the Operating Room”. This engagement allowed Assoc. Prof. Raksamani to foster networking opportunities and potential collaborations within the field.

During March 3rd – 7th, 2024, Asst. Prof. Taniga Kiatchai, M.D., from the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the 18th World Congress of Anesthesiologists (WCA2024) in Singapore and presented a poster presentation on the topic “Incidence of In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest and Mortality following Pediatric Cardiac Surgery: a retrospective study in 1,785 Anesthetics in Thailand”. Asst. Prof. Kiatchai’s attendance at the congress served the purpose of staying abreast of the latest advancements in anesthesia monitoring and management.

Assoc. Prof. Nantthasorn Zinboonyahgoon, M.D., the Pain Medicine Division Chief, Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited to attend the 18th World Congress of Anesthesiologists (WCA2024) in Singapore between March 3rd – 7th, 2024 and served as a poster presentation moderator; a session Chair: Pain Management in Special Environments; and delivered a special lecture on the topic “Cannabinoids for Acute Pain”.

Prof. Suwimon Tangwiwat, M.D., a Vice-Chair of Academic Affairs, Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited to attend the 18th World Congress of Anesthesiologists (WCA2024) in Singapore and served as a poster presentation moderator; a session Chair: video for the challenging cases; a workshop instructor on the topic “knee analgesia”; and delivered a special lecture “Prolonging postoperative analgesia-IV /local anesthetic adjuncts& continuous catheter technique.”
