Introduction
In 2020, there were 2.3 million women diagnosed with breast cancer and 685,000 deaths globally1. In advanced breast cancers, nearly 2-5% develop malignant ulcers but suffer2. The terrible symptoms associated with malignant ulcers are malodor, excessive exudates, infection, bleeding, pruritus, and pain. A holistic approach is essential to caring for end of life patients with a malignant ulcer because they suffer from a devastating and often crippling physical symptoms burden that may subsequently lead to spiritual and psychosocial distress3.The most important care for end of life patient with malignant ulcer is imperative that regional control be maximized to help alleviate pain, control bleeding and maintain quality of life.
